Buying on L5
Returns and the L5 guarantee
On L5 you buy from independent dealers and collectors. Each seller handles their own returns, and L5 stands behind every purchase with a lifetime authenticity guarantee.
Returns are set by each seller
When you buy a coin in the Bourse or win a lot at auction, the sale is between you and the seller. Whether a coin can be returned, and within how long, is up to the seller. If it matters to you, ask before you buy: leave a comment on the listing or lot and the seller will see it.
If something is wrong with your order
- Contact the seller first, from your order under Purchases or with a comment on the listing or lot. Most problems, such as the wrong coin, damage in transit or a slow shipment, are settled this way.
- The seller can refund you in full or in part. A card refund goes back to the card you paid with. If you paid another way, the seller sends the refund to you directly and it is recorded on the order.
- If you can't agree, contact L5 support with your order or invoice number and a short description. We'll step in to mediate.
The L5 Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee
If a coin you bought on L5 is shown by an independent third party to be a forgery, or to be materially different from what the listing described, and the seller has refused a refund:
- Contact L5 support with your order or invoice number and the third party's certificate or written opinion.
- Return the coin to L5. We'll tell you where to send it.
- L5 refunds the price you paid for the coin and all L5 fees on it, such as the buyer's premium.
There is no time limit.
