Vespasian Denarius, 69-79, struck at Rome in 74 CE; 3.29 g, diameter 18 mm. Obverse legend IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG encircles a laureate head of Vespasian facing right. Reverse legend PON MAX TRP COS V shows the emperor seated right on a curule chair, feet on a low footstool, holding an olive branch in his right hand and a long sceptre in his left.
