Athens New Style Tetradrachm With Elephant!

A wonderful example of the famed New Style Athenian tetradrachms, with a well rendered elephant image. The tetradrachms minted in the Hellenistic period feature a wide flan compared to the smaller and much more cramped mass issues, and various control symbols. The elephant is among the most coveted for this series. The coin is wonderfully toned and extremely well preserved, a perfect choice for a collector looking for an example of the type!
