Greek Tarantine Terracotta Head of a Woman, ca. 4th Century BC. Tarentine terracotta head of a woman, depicted wearing a wreath of leaves and a heavy fillet encircling her head, with large earrings adorning her ears. Her idealized features and elaborate coiffure are characteristic of the refined female types produced in Tarentum during the Hellenistic period.
