Exonumia, 1862, Washington/Jackson (Silver), Medald, CH. BU

Exonumia, 1862-Medald, CH. BU, Washington/Jackson (Silver), J-PR-29. Dies by Anthony Paquet. While small, the detail and relief on this ever popular US mint medal is outstanding. Julian says approximately 3000 pieces were struck between 1862 and 1904. The present example while dark is very attractive, deep mottled toning make the devices pop, especially Old Hickory on the reverse.
