Description
Lincoln Cent, 1943-1¢, Webbing.
A fascinating leftover from the minting process. This sheet of steel was rolled to thickness and planchets punched out. Normally webbing is retained, melted, reformed into stock and rolled out again. Webbing that escapes the mint is scarce, webbing from a one year, off metal type is even rarer.
