Description
Licinius was the last contestant for power in Rome against Constantine. Initially an ally, the two eventually clashed - first around in a war won by Constatine. This follis from 315-316 commemorates both emperors with the plural inscription (AVGG NN) just before their first civil war in 316-317 which ended in a settlement in Constantine's favor before Constantine finally won round 2 in AD 324.
This coin has exceptional details on Licinius, and on the reverse as well.
