Inscription (Legend): IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG (Imperator Caesar Marcus Aurelius Probus Pius Felix Augustus)

Depiction: Right-facing portrait of Emperor Probus wearing a radiate crown. He is depicted with a crisp military beard and wearing a mantle (draped and cuirassed bust). The strike on the portrait is remarkably strong, retaining sharp detail on the crown spikes and facial features.

Reverse (Back - Image 119716)

Inscription (Legend): CLEMENTIA TEMP (The Clemency of the Times)

Depiction: Emperor Probus standing on the left in military attire, holding a sceptre. He is receiving a globe from Jupiter (or Sol) standing on the right, who holds a long sceptre. This imagery symbolizes the divine transfer of power and the peaceful restoration of the empire under his rule.

Field Marks: A workshop letter Γ (Gamma, meaning the 3rd officina/workshop) sits in the lower center field between the two figures.

Exergue (Mint Mark): The bottom letters read XXI, indicating this coin was struck at the Antioch mint.
