Pupienus, April/May - July/August 238. Sestertius (bronze, 30.5mm, 22.23g). IMP CAES CLOD PVPIEN MAXIMVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Pupienus to right. Rev. PAX PVBLICA / S - C, Pax seated to left, holding branch in right hand and scepter in left. Banti 7. BMC 96. Cohen 24. RIC 22b. Dark-green patina, slight roughness and light scratches, otherwise about very fine.
