Geta was a member of the Severan dynasty, a significant era in Roman history known for military expansion and legal reforms. As the younger son of Septimius Severus, Geta was elevated to the rank of Caesar and later Augustus. His short reign, co-ruling with his brother Caracalla, was marked by internal strife culminating in his assassination. Coins bearing his likeness as Caesar provide insights into the dynastic politics of the Roman Empire and the role of imperial propaganda during this period.
