Lucius Verus (AD 160-169) denarius

Description
Very nice portrait, strike, and condition. Issued by Marcus Aurelius after his colleague Lucius Verus died in 169 of a plague picked up in Mesopotamia during a successful war against the Parthians. His death and the arrival of the plague arguably ends the Pax Romana, though most give Marcus credit through his death in 180.
