This Antoninianus struck under Emperor Aurelian during his reign from 270 to 275 AD symbolizes his efforts to restore the Roman Empire's boundaries and stability, as epitomized by the reverse inscription "RESTITVT ORBIS," meaning "Restorer of the World." Aurelian's reign was marked by military success and internal reforms, bringing an end to the Crisis of the Third Century, a period characterized by severe instability.
