Menander I, one of the most renowned rulers of the Indo-Greek Kingdom, played a significant role in the cultural and political exchanges between the Hellenistic world and the Indian subcontinent. Known in the East as Milinda, he is famously associated with the "Milinda Panha," a Buddhist text documenting philosophical dialogues between the king and a Buddhist sage. This coin not only serves as a testament to the melding of Greek and Indian cultures but also highlights Menander's influence and legacy as a patron of the arts and a proponent of religious tolerance.
