Description

Etruscan Gallo-Etruscan Bronze Figure of Hercules, ca. 4th-2nd Century BC. The hero shown advancing with left leg forward, right arm raised, perhaps originally holding an attribute or weapon, the left hand grasping the pelt of the Nemean lion. Stylized but naturalistic form with defined musculature, narrow waist, and carefully modeled facial features. Dark olive and brown patination.
