Magna Graecia Terracotta Statuette of a Seated Victory

Magna Graecia Terracotta Statuette of a Seated Victory, ca. 320 BC. Although the wings are now lost, this seated goddess retains considerable aesthetic appeal. The figure is beautifully modeled, with softly articulated forms and a finely draped himation characterized by numerous flowing folds. Remnants of the original pink pigment survive, and the right hand has been restored. A particularly delicate and attractive sculptural work.
