Description
Licinius II (Valerius Licinianus Licinius), Caesar under Licinius I. Struck at Siscia (Sisak) circa 321-324 AD, during the joint vota issue for the three Caesars.
• Weight: 3.10g (well above average for the type)
• Diameter: ∼19-20mm
• Mintmark: ASIS with rising sun (the "rays" variant)
• Reference: RIC VII Siscia 181 (VOT X, ASIS sunburst) – "CAESARVM NOSTRORVM, VOT X, ASIS sunburst in ex."; also cf. RIC VII 182 "VOT X in laurel wreath; ASIS(rising sun)"
• Condition: Choice EF for strike, untouched dark-green patina, no circulation wear — wreath ties, central pellets, and exergue fully crisp (see photos)
This is the later, heavier Siscia issue, not the common porous VOT V type.
