Magnentius; 350-353 AD, 351-2 AD, AE 3, 4.77g. Cf. Sear-4024. Obv: D N MAGNEN - TIVS P F AVG, Bare-headed, draped, cuirassed bust r., seen from front, B in field behind portrait. Rx: [VICTORIAE DD NN A]VG ET CAES around, Two Victories standing facing each other, together holding wreath with retrograde inscription TOV / V / TLVM / X; in exergue mintmark RSLC, the third and fourth letters of which are also retrograde. Possibly an ancient imitation, because of the retrograde lettering and clumsy style of the reverse die.. EF
