Egyptian Bronze Cat

Egyptian Bronze Cat, Late Period, ca. 715-330 BC. Shown seated with the tail presumably curled around the body. Large suspension loop at the back of the cat’s neck. Since the female cat was particularly noted for its fecundity, this amulet may have enhanced its owner’s fertility. Ex HJB 144th Buy or Bid Sale, July 2005, lot 616. H. 7/8"..
