ROMAN BONE DICE PAIR – 1st-3rd c. AD

Roman Imperial Period, circa 1st–3rd century AD. This is one pair of dice – two matching bone tesserae sold together as found. Each is hand-carved with the classic Roman "oculus" ring-and-dot pips, opposite faces summing to seven (1:6, 2:5, 3:4). Size ∼12mm per side, total weight 2.9g. Fine condition with warm creamy-brown patina and light soil in the rings – exactly what you expect from 1,800-year-old gaming pieces.
