$10 Liberty, 1856-S, $10, AU58 , PCGS

With a mintage of 68,000, nearly all of the 1856-S appearances are in the VF-AU grade with just 12 total graded in Mint State, the finest being a single MS63. This coin is an excellent choice for a Type set looking for a No Motto with a bit more scarcity. Both obveres and reverse offer suprisingly clean surfaces, lovely yellow gold color and hints of underlying orange. Abundant luster is evident and the overall eye appeal quite nice.
