Description

25¢, ND-MS65, 70% Off center on Clad Layer, PCGS.

Yet another double error, this piece is especially intriguing. At first glance it appears to be a fairly common off-center Washington quarter. On closer inspection, however, the planchet is far too thin. The strike occurred on a separated clad layer, either peeled before striking or detached afterward. A very seldom seen error.
