Roman Double Balsamarium

Roman Double Balsamarium, Eastern Mediterranean, ca. 4th-6th Century AD. A fantastic decorative cosmetic container with a translucent blue-green double-barrel body, elaborately decorated with applied trailings in a deeper hue and surmounted by an impressive high basket handle. The handle has been repaired, and the body retains a small stable crack. Mounted.
